泰勒的好友魯比羅斯（ Ruby Rose ）也跳出力挺她，在推特上狠批凱蒂佩芮的新歌像狗屎，隨後，曾爲泰勒絲製作過《Bad Blood》、《Blank Space》等歌曲的音樂製作人喬瑟夫卡安（Joseph Kahn）也在推特上諷刺凱蒂·佩裏，“你要是打算借歌諷刺別人的話，至少副歌也要寫得好聽一點！”發文充滿火藥味。
事實上，凱蒂·佩裏在《吉米今夜秀》宣傳新歌時，被主持人吉米·法倫（Jimmy Fallon）問及此歌曲是不是在影射某人，她停頓了一陣響應，“我覺得如果大家被欺負，或是被看不起時，這是一首非常好的聖歌。”對於該歌曲是否用來影射泰勒，她並沒有承認，也沒有否認，讓粉絲摸不透。
